Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team at our facility in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Report shortages on warehouse materials such as crating materials, pallets, crates for export orders, boxes in the prep area, and shredded paper for shipping.
• Prepare orders for shipping by physically pulling orders, boxing small orders, palletizing, strapping, wrapping freight orders, and lifting heavy valves (75-100 lbs).
• Review and ensure all paperwork is prepared and included with shipments.
• Coordinate third-party freight and will-call orders.
• Successfully complete Operator Safety Training for Powered Industrial Equipment.
• Compare identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, work orders, and other records.
• Determine the method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.
• Scan and store all data received from customers on incoming jobs, create data packs, and assign incoming work orders to jobs.
• Perform put-aways for incoming stock and assist in cycle counts.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Report maintenance and repair needs for all warehouse equipment to the Warehouse Manager.
• Help keep the warehouse, building entry area, and parking lot clean.
• Operate a forklift, reach truck, and other warehouse equipment.
• Modify valves on a socket weld radial arm drill press.

- Act as a delivery/pick-up driver as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior warehouse experience

Salary info:

$18 - $19 / hr
